Firethorne is Located just south of Interstate 10 and FM 1463,  south of Katy High School.

Firethorne actually sits across the border of two school districts, so it is important to make sure that you purchase in the proper school district.  While adjusting the zoning to new schools is always a possibility anywhere, they would VERY rarely re-zone the district boundaries.

The Northern part of Firethorne is zoned for Katy ISD and attends Woodcreek Elementary, Woodcreek Junior High and Katy High school.

The southern section of Firethorne is located in Lamar ISD and attends Huggins Elementary, Briscoe Junior High and Foster High School.   Foster High School and Briscoe Junior High have been rated as RECOGNIZED by the TEA.  Huggins was listed as Academically Acceptable.

Prices for homes begin in the $170,000′s and range upward to the $800,000 range.  Homes are available in Firethorne as new construction as well as resale homes.  There are some great builders who have built in the Firethorne community.  Coventry, Perry, Highland Homes,  Plantation and Ashton Woods are all builders that have built there or are currently building there.
