What Does Risk Free Mean?
Maybe you’ve gotten a letter from me recently that had a headline to the effect of NO RISK REAL ESTATE SERVICES and you’ve wondered what exactly does that mean.
Well, to me, when I make a purchase or I hire someone for a service, I want to know that I am going to get at the very minimum what I paid for. If I take my car to the mechanic, I want to know that when I pick up the car and pay the bill, what I paid for was fixed. I want to know that my car was diagnosed by a professional and that I have some assurance that whatever issue I was having repaired is a thing of the past. I want to know that IF something goes wrong, that my mechanic stands behind what they said they did and they will make it right…not charge me again as if I was bringing in a new issue!
If I hire a dentist to do a root canal and put a crown on one of my teeth, I want to know that it’s not going to be a problem six months down the road and that in the off chance that something DOES happen to go wrong, my dentist stands ready to fix that item that I already paid for!
Sounds logical right?
I’ve got a similar approach to my real estate services. You and I sit down for a discussion about what to expect, how I do what I do, what I charge for those services and what results we can reasonably expect. At that point, it becomes a decision that you have to make. HIRE ME or DON’T HIRE ME. Ultimately, I PROBABLY want your business or I wouldn’t be discussing your needs so I HOPE that you HIRE ME. In order to make sure that you WANT to HIRE ME, I have to make sure that I cover all the bases when it comes to my services.
Some agents are VERY good at sitting down with you and getting your signature on the contract…thus locking you in for the full ride, whether you like it or not. I’ve even heard of some agents that simply WON’T leave until you sign the listing agreement or Buyer’s Representation agreement. How silly…
So here’s RISK FREE to me, in a nutshell: You and I will discuss EVERYTHING that we can foresee and I will put in writing a guarantee of how I work and ultimately, if you’re dissatisfied with my service, you can FIRE ME.
I mean, if you disliked the job your Doctor was doing for you, you would FIRE HIM/HER, right?
If you disliked the job your Attorney was doing, you’d FIRE HIM/HER, right?
If you disliked the job your Stock Broker was doing, you’d FIRE HIM/HER, right?
Shouldn’t it be the same with any service professional? And if it isn’t can that person claim to be a professional?
